Tonkatsu Restaurants: Breaded deep-fried pork. This dish is served with a variety of side dishes such as shredded cabbage, rice, and Japanese pickles. Served with a sweet sauce that resembles Worcestershire.
Tempura Restaurants: Seafood or vegetables that have been battered and deep-fried. Tempura batter is now famous around the world and is one of Japan’s culinary exports.
Takoyaki Restaurants: Ball-shaped Japanese pancakes filled with octopus inside. A treat for your taste buds and hailing from Osaka, it is normally served with a sweet sauce and mayo.
Shabu-shabu Restaurants: Japanese hot pot cooking. A true dining experience; diners will cook their food directly in pots set on their tables.
Kare Raisu Restaurants: Curry dishes served with rice. Curry in Japan is based on broths instead of the traditional Indian style or the Thai version made from the curry paste.
